How To Know When It's Time For A Rebrand

This is one of our favorite questions here at Copperheart! Many business owners don’t know they need a rebrand until they go through what we call “the business midlife crisis.” Our goal is to help you avoid that crisis so you can steer clear of the eventual loss of customers and sales. Here are 3 signs that it’s time for a rebrand:

1. Are you going through a big change?

If you’re currently working through an acquisition, processing a merger, or just offering different services, it’s time for a rebrand. As your company evolves, so should your branding! Sometimes this looks like a website overhaul. It could mean a simple logo update or just change in messaging. Whatever the change may be, make sure your customers are kept in the loop through a fresh brand!

2. Are you leaving a lasting impression?

If you’re not connecting with your target audience, it’s time for a rebrand! People change with culture and season, so it's important that your branding stay just as fresh. Whether it's your messaging, your design, or just your checkout page, it’s worth taking a hard look at your engagement and connection with your demographic.

3. Is your brand is out of date?

General rule of thumb: If it hasn’t been touched in 5-7 years, it’s time for a rebrand! Your target audience is always changing in taste and culture. Your industry has a general ebb and flow, as well, so it’s important to stay on top of the newest trends in features and design. This doesn’t necessarily mean you need a FULL overhaul every few years. You can stay relevant by updating your logo, cleaning up your website, or simply changing your messaging.

We are always encouraging our clients to do a consistent evaluation of their branding success, and we love helping with that process! If your business identifies with any of the these three signs, reach out to us! We’d love to work with you as you develop a clear vision and a create brand you’re proud of!
