5 Apps To Cure The Work From Home Blues

When it comes to social distancing, we have seen how it is quickly effecting everything. Our city has cancelled events, closing down restaurants, and many businesses are moving all employees to working remotely. As great as working home can be at first… we know that it can also feel lonely and like you’re on an island. (Said no introvert ever!) We’ve been working from home for years and found a couple virtual hacks that help us bust through the fog!

Here are some of our favorite apps to kick the working-from-home blues:

1. Coffitivity

Tune out the voices around you (and let's be honest...in your head) with this brilliant app! Coffitivity recreates the ambient sounds of a cafe to boost your creativity and help you work better. We can't recommend this enough for gentle white noise!

2. Daily Still Podcast

This podcast is Amber's favorite! Each episode of the Daily Still features a 5-minute devotional meditation, offering room to “be still” in the midst of the busyness of life. Amber listens when she needs reminding of her value in God's kingdom, especially when the daily to-do's get overwhelming.

3. Headspace

This amazing little app offers hundreds of themed meditation sessions on everything from stress and sleep to focus and anxiety. If you need a quick break or just a beat of silence and mindfulness, we highly suggest adding this to your collection!

4. Asana

Stop worrying about what's next and focus on the now with this organizational wizard! Asana app has the ability to create timelines, organize your tasks, remind you and your team of deadlines, and automate your work process. This app will single-handedly save your stress level!

5. Boomerang in Gmail

We love using the Boomerang add-on for various reasons! You can write an email now and schedule it to be sent automatically at the perfect time. Plus, you can PAUSE your inbox to hold emails and notifications from coming in. Because let's be honest, sometimes you just gotta turn it off.

Bonus App: Nature!

Ok so it's not an app, but it's our favorite! Going outside for a quick walk a few times a day can completely turn your productivity around. We suggest leaving your phone at home, and allowing your mind to wander. There's no better way to process ideas and inspire new ones!

Alright, we'd love to know which one of these you're already utilizing and which you plan to add to your routine! Let's chat!!
