3 Ways To Honor Your Team During The Holidays
Sometimes it feels as though the word "holiday" is synonymous with "overwhelm." The to-do lists seem ongoing, the parties are never-ending, and while it's such a beautiful season, if we're not careful, the busyness can overtake the joy. If you're feeling overwhelmed, then you can bet your team is feeling it as well. Here are a few of our favorite ways to honor our employees and contractors during the holidays:
1. Get Personal.
Adding a personal touch to any gift or activity will always build relationship. One of the most valuable and personable things you can do this Christmas is to take time to reflect on your employees and their hard work this year. Let them know what you've seen them do well and how grateful you are! A hand-written note speaks volumes, or even a public appreciation of some kind. Taking time to honor your employees by personally noting their value will always reap love and loyalty amongst a team.
2. Prepare To Party!
Let's be honest. Our schedules are filled to the brim throughout December, and those evening hours really should be spent celebrating the season with family and loved ones. Why not take a different route this year and plan your office party during work hours? Not only will it give your employees a fun, anticipated break during the day, but it will also show that you care about their personal relationships. They give so much time to our mission and purpose, shouldn't we do our best to honor theirs?
3. Give More.
What could you do to treat your employees this holiday season? Why not surprise them by bringing fresh baked goods to the office? You could treat them to a special meal or outing. What about offering the gift of relaxation? Give them a spa treatment or find ways to introduce rest into their regular work day. Do your best to discover what your team really needs this season, then go over and beyond to honor their job well done!
Your team gives you their heart and soul throughout the year, serving the mission of your company and bringing your vision to life. Love your team well this Christmas and honor that service with unexpected abundance!
