The power of celebrating our gifts

As entrepreneurs, we often get so caught up in the hustle that we forget why we started in the first place. We forget the heart, we don’t acknowledge our gifts, and one day we just wake up lost and burnt out.

On this episode, Laura shares her story of learning to celebrate her giftings. It was those gifts, specifically, that led her to founding her coaching business and once she tapped into those passions, she finally found a purpose that filled her to the brim.

When she learned to hold her dreams lightly, not tightly, she discovered that she now had room to grow and expand. She was able to truly see what she had to offer and revealed a passion for coaching she didn’t really expect.

Follow the breadcrumbs.

“The best thing you can do with your life is become who you were designed to be,” says Laura. This means following your OWN breadcrumbs. “When we follow someone else’s breadcrumbs, we end up in the wrong room!” she says. When we follow another’s passion, strategy, process, or plan — we forfeit our own voice. We aren’t in tune with what WE have to offer and the gifts that we were put on this earth to share.

Laura tells us to release the expectations and remove the box. There is no box! We can become what we’re meant to become simply be examining what lights us on fire and moving forward from there. It’s deep work, but it’s worth every mile.

Best Advice to your younger self.

Trust that you are here for a purpose! Ask yourself, “what am I called to,” then go from there. Start examining what lights you up, what do you gravitate toward? Ask yourself if you’re currently operating fully in your giftings, and if not, then what’s one step you can take toward those gifts today?

Perfection is a distraction from your power.
